CompliSpace commenced operations in March 2007 having previously operated as a division of another company since 2002. Directors, James Field and David Griffiths are both lawyers who, in their 15 years of working together in private practice and as executive managers in an ASX 200 company, identified significant inefficiencies in the mid-market, particularly with respect to specialist legal and compliance services.

Put simply, the majority of professional services and technology based solutions are built on a traditional services delivery model that requires customers to adapt to fit the service rather than vice versa. Nowhere is this inefficiency more prevalent than in the field of compliance where companies face a raft of ever-changing obligations and are forced to not only source the content expertise required but also to identify and implement the right system or process to address these obligations. The traditional model is costly, inefficient and leads to suboptimal outcomes for mid-market companies.

CompliSpace services are focused wholly on the customer's needs. By using technology as an enabler and combining specialist content, document and content management systems and workflow tools, CompliSpace has developed a suite of online tools and resources that enable compliance and risk to come to life in an organisation.
