Jonathan Oliver – Senior Consultant

Jonathan is a Senior Governance Risk and Compliance Consultant working with CompliSpace school clients. He has more than 10 years’ experience in the school sector as a teacher, compliance and legal adviser and more recently as a Business Manager.

Jonathan has been a solicitor for nearly 30 years and worked in both private practice and community legal centres. 

Jonathan is a CompliSpace school risk and compliance specialist and regularly presents to school boards and executive staff on governance, risk and compliance issues. He regularly presents at school law seminars on a range of risk and compliance related topics.

Svetlana Pozydajew – Senior Consultant

Svetlana is a Senior Consultant at CompliSpace. She has over 20 years of experience in strategic and operational human resource management, occupational health and safety, and  design and implementation of policies and change management programs.

She has held national people management responsibility positions in the public and private sectors, and is now the content specialist at CompliSpace for harmonised WHS (and OHS in the other two States), HR, and general compliance matters for not for profits.

She holds a LLB , Masters in Management (MBA), Master of Arts in Journalism, and a Certificate in Governance for not-for-profits.

Deborah de Fina – Head of Child Protection

Deborah recently completed five years working with the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse where she assisted the Royal Commission to establish the Private Session process and subsequently managed its legal aspects. Through Private Sessions, the Royal Commission spoke with more than 8000 survivors of child sexual abuse.  Deborah managed and championed the process by which Private Sessions information was embedded throughout the Royal Commission’s work in determining and shaping public hearings, in informing the policies and recommendations of the Interim and Final Reports, and in providing examples and narratives for the Final Report.

Prior to working with the Royal Commission, Deborah had her own successful consulting practice where she specialised in the statutory child protection system, legal issues facing children and vulnerable people, and legal aid. She also spent more than nine years at Legal Aid NSW, as a child protection solicitor, Senior Solicitor and then Solicitor in Charge, Child Protection.

Deborah holds a Juris Doctorate from the Columbia University School of Law, a Master of International Affairs from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and a Diploma in Law from Sydney University.

Ruth Greene – Principal Consultant – Aged Care

As a Registered Nurse with over 30 years’ experience across the healthcare industry, Ruth has been employed in a range of management and clinical positions, and for several years worked as a consultant in residential aged care. Understanding organisational governance, risk and related quality standards has been a pivotal part of her work practices and has included maintaining and monitoring of legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as developing linked policy documents. 
Ruth has worked with management teams for a range of providers, industry representative groups, government departments and professional bodies including the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia in the area of competency assessment. Well known for her expertise in clinical practice areas, particularly medication management, she has spent the past two years specialising in the area of dementia. This work has included the design and development of an accreditation system to assess health professional practices and processes in relation to knowledge and linked consultant skills. 
Committed to ongoing learning and professional development Ruth has successfully achieved post graduate qualifications in clinical practice, management and education, including a Master in Adult Education (Global). 

Robert Seale – Regional Manager NSW & ACT

Rob has been with CompliSpace for over 5 years, and has worked closely with a range of clients across our education, commercial, private and not-for-profit sectors. Rob works closely with our clients by combining content and technology to tailor solutions that work best for our clients’ existing structures, and can grow with them in the future. 
Robert holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney, and is currently completing a Graduate Certificate of Applied Risk Management from the Governance Institute of Australia.

Gianpaolo Zivoli – Consultant

Born in Canada, with an Italian and Mexican background, Gianpaolo is a Consultant in the Sydney Office. He recently completed a Juris Doctor at the University of New South Wales, having previously graduated from York University in Toronto with a Bachelor degree with honours in Political Science.

Prior to joining Complispace, Gianpaolo worked in Family Law at one of Sydney’s leading Chambers and interned at Football Federation Australia in the Legal, Governance and Regulatory team.

Gianpaolo is a passionate AC Milan supporter and has a keen interest in anything pasta, tacos and wine related.

Breanna Gould – Associate

Breanna is a Hunter Valley girl who moved to Wollongong to study Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Majoring in Human Resources). After graduating at the end of 2018, Breanna relocated to Sydney to join the CompliSpace team as Associate Consultant for our Education team.
While not busy studying and working towards completing her final year for the Practical Legal Training (PLT) at the College of Law (part-time), Breanna enjoys sharing good food and good wine with her friends and family.

Savanna Wray – Senior Associate

Savanna is a Senior Associate in our Sydney office’s Education Division, assisting schools in the implementation of risk and compliance solutions to meet their regulatory obligations. 
Savanna has completed a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Sydney. Prior to working for CompliSpace she worked as an Operations Analyst for a hybrid tech-service provider company.
Her passions include traveling the world to gain perspectives of different people and culture, tasting food from all corners of the globe and cheering on her favourite footy team, the St George Illawarra Dragons.

Tim Kelly – Regional Manager (Victoria and Tasmania)

Tim is the Regional Manager for Victoria and Tasmania at CompliSpace, leading the consulting and client services teams in these States.
He is a senior lawyer and workplace relations and health & safety executive, as well as being a qualified teacher. For over 13 years, Tim worked as a lawyer at top-tier multi-national and national law firms, and within industry. He has provided advice to a range of clients across industries, including significantly in the education sector to schools, the Victorian Department of Education and Training, education regulators and universities.
As the Regional Manager, Tim combines his skills and experience across various regulated industries to provide legal, governance, risk, compliance and strategic advice and consulting support to boards and executives.

Simon Morrison – Consultant

Simon Morrison is a Consultant at CompliSpace. He completed a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia in 2009. He worked for 5 years in the legal industry, primarily focused on Migration Law, including volunteer work with refugee and asylum seeker applicants. 
At CompliSpace, Simon works with education clients, implementing the CompliSpace platforms. He focuses on ensuring clients receive a tailored and effective platform, which provides the best possible risk and compliance management system based on each client’s unique situation.  
In his spare time, Simon enjoys cooking, especially authentic Mexican food, craft Beer and playing guitar.  

Claudia Howell – Senior Associate

Claudia is a Senior Associate in our Melbourne office, assisting schools in the development and implementation of tailored policy and risk management solutions.

Claudia completed her Undergraduate degree in Arts (Media Communication and Cultural Studies, as well as History), and Social Science (Social and Public Policy) from the University of Queensland. She is currently studying a post-graduate certificate in Governance and Public Policy through UQ.

Claudia has previously worked for a not for profit organisation assisting with service delivery coordination and one on one support in the disability sector.

In her spare time Claudia enjoys exploring the music scene and best places to eat in Melbourne.

Mustafa Mahmood – Consultant

Mustafa works within CompliSpace’s Education Division, assisting clients through the implementation and training stages of our programs, all the while ensuring all queries are answered and expectations are met.
Mustafa joined CompliSpace upon completion of his Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Melbourne, graduating with majors in Economics and Management. Mustafa brings prior experience in Sales, Project Management and Consulting, thus contributing a unique set of skills to the Associate role.
During his spare time Mustafa enjoys playing cricket and tennis, however those who know him best are aware of his love of food. 

Sherry Green – Client Relationship Manager

Sherry is a Client Relationship Manager in our Melbourne office who has the role of building and preserving trusting relationships with our clients. With 13 years of experience providing continuity throughout the customer life cycle from on-boarding and implementation, through to training, support and software updates, the importance of building and maintaining client relationships has been central to her career. 
Sherry graduated Monash University with a Bachelor of Commerce – E-Business and Marketing
In her spare time Sherry is a busy parent of two young girls and they enjoy going out for coffee and milkshake dates. 

Deanne Cannizzaro – Project Manager/Consultant

Deanne Cannizzaro is a Project Manager/Consultant for School Compliance in Melbourne. Deanne has a varied education-based background which includes 7 years teaching in the UK and independent boys’ education in Melbourne. Her most recent senior leadership position was as Director of Programs and Activities where her portfolio consisted of areas such as co-curricular programming (e.g. sport and music) as well as excursions and Outdoor Education. 

Deanne joined CompliSpace from working in the Faculty of Education at Monash University. With a Bachelor in Education and Bachelor of Science, she has recently completed her Masters of Leadership (specialising in Organisational Learning) and Graduate Certificate in Educational Research. Deanne has a particular interest in change leadership within the educational context and this is the area interest forms her research focus in her current PhD studies.

Rochelle Bright – Client Learning Manager

Rochelle, our Client Learning Manager VIC/TAS has a diverse background in L&D, change and project management for various large scale organisations including finance, superannuation and the catholic education sectors. She spends her days assisting clients through the SLS implementation project, assisting with product improvement and developing training resources.

Rochelle has a Masters in Politics and, in her spare time, enjoys writing, going to the beach (in all weather!) and spending time with her young family.

Robert Walker – State Manager QLD

With a law degree from the University of Queensland and admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court, Robert has over 25 years experience in the commercial and not for profit sectors. Transitioning out of mainstream law into industrial relations, Robert has worked in a number of high profile industry representative roles in the retail, property and agricultural sectors.
More recently he has held the role of Executive Manager and Company Secretary of the Presbyterian Methodist Schools Association. through his varied senior roles Robert has developed a unique mix of corporate and education experience with a focus on legal and regulatory compliance.

Melissa Larsson – Project Manager/Consultant

Mel is the Project Manager/Consultant in our Queensland Team. A former Business Teacher and Head of House, Mel has over 11 years experience in education and is passionate about leadership and best practice, not only in Governance, Risk and Compliance, but in Pastoral Care and Curriculum. Mel has been an Acting Deputy Principal and is a distinguished co-author of the Business for QCE series of textbooks; written specifically for the General Business subject in Queensland’s senior curriculum. She continues to advocate for high standards of education in Queensland and often presents at a range of professional development events.

Mel brings professionalism, kindness and efficiency to all that she does, and loves nothing more than connecting with her clients and colleagues when at work; and enjoying R&R time with her family when at home.

Meet the Adelaide Team

Joylene Leaney – Regional Manager (Central West)

Joylene Leaney is the Regional Manager looking after our Central West clients. Joylene joined us after implementing CompliSpace at schools in WA before relocating to South Australia. With a background in IT and Education with over 20 years’ experience across mining, retail, IT, banking and the secondary and higher education sectors. Joylene has worked across the areas of maintenance and development of commercial systems and websites, database management and project management. 
Joylene’s role encompasses all facets of the CompliSpace business from initial sales meetings and evaluation process through to client implementation, training and launch of client sites across several state jurisdictions. Joylene’s system and education knowledge and personal client experience enables her to assist CompliSpace clients to implement practical solutions to policy management and tailor legal content to school culture throughout the implementation process.

Christine Egglestone – Client Relationship Manager

Christine is a Client Relationship Manager and works closely with our consultant team assisting with project management and implementation of our unique service into our clients’ workplaces.
More recently, Christine has worked in a Coordination role in the Higher Education Sector, liaising with professionals in the Health Sector. Christine coordinated the senior Medical students’ programs including their Clinical placements, assessments and compliance requirements. Christine has an Associate Diploma in Computer Studies, and has worked internationally across Mining, Retail, Wholesale and Insurance companies as a Senior Analyst/Programmer throughout her previous IT career.

Jack Kroning – Product Technical Support Specialist

Jack currently works as a Product Technical Support Specialist in the Adelaide Office. Jack assists with setting up CompliSpace clients and technology for success. In doing so, he strives to provide an excellent standard of customer service alongside sound technical support.

Jack joined Complispace after completion of his Bachelor of Laws from the University of South Australia. Analytical skills from his degree combined with customer service experience and a passion for technical understanding allows him to bring a unique skill set to the role. Having spent a few years as an Associate within the Adelaide office, jack also brings experience with our systems and Consulting skills to his role.

In his spare time Jack enjoys movies and is passionate about all things Motorbike related.

Meet the Perth Team

Craig D’cruz – National Education Lead

Craig is the National Education Lead at CompliSpace. He began his education career in 1983 and has taught in a number of non-government schools including Catholic, PSA, Anglican and Greek Orthodox schools. He spent 22 years as a Deputy Principal and Principal and five years as the Industrial Officer at the Association of Independent Schools of WA.

Craig was also a Board member and Deputy Chair of a large Uniting Church School for nine years. He has a background in school leadership and governance, a demonstrated history of working in the management consulting industry – skilled in non-profit organisations, coaching, policy development, registration and compliance, curriculum development and HR/Industrial matters.

Craig is married to Carol and they have two sons and four grandchildren. When he is not working with our schools or spending time with his family, he is an avid fisherman and he also enjoys a variety of water sports.
