ACT Child Protection Requirements for Non-Government Schools - January 2017

In 2016 the Reportable Conduct and Information Sharing Legislation Amendment Act 2016 (ACT) (the Reportable Conduct Act) was introduced and it has significantly changed the child protection system in the ACT by creating a reportable conduct scheme, similar to the scheme in force in NSW. In addition to complying with other child protection legislation, schools in the ACT must comply with the reportable conduct obligations which are due to take effect in mid-2017.
