Challenge

St Michael’s is a small primary school located in a tight-knit community in regional Victoria. It has a staff of six and their focus is on teaching, learning and student welfare.

The challenge is that “All roads lead to the Principal,” so she is time poor.

Solution 

CompliSpace worked with St Michael’s to implement the Assurance tool to transform the way the school leaders tracked and managed their compliance obligations. This implementation included Assurance training with other schools in the CEO Sandhurst group.

St Michael's particularly embraced the tool for capturing, managing and automating safety incidents.

Result

St Michael's logged and managed over 75 Safety Incidents in the first year. They use the Notes function to track any communication relating to an injury or near miss. Assurance has helped St Michael's automate notifications directly to the principal – whether she is in her office, on the school grounds or off site. It has also helped St Michael's streamline communications.

St Michael's have also developed their merge doc letter home to parents (pre-populated Word document which pulls information entered into the form and populates a template for customisation and distribution).

The school also use the system to manage hazards and maintenance requests.
