Legislative requirements were introduced in Victoria, impacting schools and other organisations responsible for the care and protection of children, following the seven (7) Child Safe Standards and Ministerial Order No. 870 in 2015. In 2017, four key new laws took effect which are summarised and discussed in more detail in the body of this paper.
